This amalgamation of soul-infused pop music is displayed on "Solar System" delivering an unfiltered message of letting one’s self love and be loved through navigating complicated relationship dynamics. “You become increasingly aware of the lack of control you have over the trajectory of a relationship and your feelings,” says Tan. “It’s the desperation of constantly being stuck in the orbit of someone else.”

Equally influenced by the marriage of soul and bubblegum pop, "Coconut" entwines as warm guitar tones with Tan’s mesmerizing vocal melodies to tell the story of the cruel awakening from the fever dream that falling in love in the summer provides come autumn. “It’s about reminiscing on the summertime to cope with the change of weather and scenery,” says Tan. “I want people to resonate with the warm nostalgia of looking back on a summer fling.”
